Paddlefest 2011

Good job team! 

With only 15 paddlers, we took this as an opportunity to shake out nervous twitches, get familiar with the racing format and work the kinks out of our race strategy.   I see room for improvement still and the next couple of weeks, we'll be working hard and smoothing out the rough edges.  I foresee great pain in your near future *grin* with a great deal of time off afterward to curse my name and even more time for you to forget about that and remember the thrill of racing and phone me to come back again!

In the meantime, I had a whole batch of fun Saturday, including eating poutine.  If you can't beat 'em .. join 'em.

Good news

I spoke with Holly about Wednesday night practices.  It would seem that it is not an issue to keep a boat out past its appointed time on Wednesday evening, so if you would care to extend practice to 2 hours on Wedesdays, that's very doable.

Game on!

I've got a full practice scheduled for us tonight, so show up prepared to work your little tushies off.  Sat has to miss the pouring ran, unfortunately, so maybe we should save a bucketful to splash him with on a warmer day.  We'll welcome Bev at the back of the boat in his stead.

We'll be pulling into the docks on time so you can catch the end of Game 1 at the Lighthouse Bistro.
